Nobitz’s motto is: ‘Tranquil yet vibrant’!
Nobitz is a municipality in the district of Altenburger Land in Thuringia. After merging with the municipality of Saara, Nobitz with its population of 6,200 is now the fourth-biggest municipality in the district after the towns of Altenburg, Schmölln and Meuselwitz – and also has the largest area.
Owing to its historical development, Nobitz is characterized by diversity. Forms of human habitation range from scattered farms to densely populated villages dominated by striking village churches. The receptive, open mindset and the charming yet easy-to-understand local accent make it simple for newcomers to connect.
An attractive home for young families
